On 26 July, the Edisan Trust conducted a Child Rights Awareness Training at Avinashi Block. The training focused on equipping participants with the knowledge to recognize and respond to suspected risks of harm to children and young people, particularly those arising from concerns related to parents or carers.
Key topics included:
Identifying signs and impacts of domestic and family violence
Understanding substance misuse among parents/carers and its effects on children
Strategies for early detection and appropriate response to child protection concerns
The session aimed to strengthen community awareness and safeguard the rights and well-being of children and young people in vulnerable situations.
